Tres Agaves & Mijita(round II)

Mil Mascaras | Jan 26, 2006 06:46 PM

Tried Tres Agaves this week, and gave Mijita a second round.
Tres Agaves
My impression is the food is ok, not great and not worth raving about.
I found the menu to be VERY limited in scope with respect to the variety of good mexican food. I agree with previous remarks about Tres Agave's food being simplified for yuppy tastes. We ordered the flank steak, roast chicken, chile rellenos, shrimp ceviche, and guacamole.

The steak was yummy cooked to perfection but very predictable :)
The shrimp ceviche :).
Guacamole: Ok, needed salt. :|
chips and Salsa :)
Chicken, a little greasy :|
Margaritas :D
grilled corn :D
Chocolate cake :D

Now Mijita. I am really disappointed with this place, I don't care if their overhead is $$$$, my ablondigas soup, carne asada taco, beans was mediocre at best.
The food lacked flavor, and my taco was cold, beans hard.....
$20 for mediocre 1 taco, soup, chips, beans.....!!!
Will not go back, that place survives of gimmickry alone.
