We're planning a beach trip for spring break to Florida. It's essentiallya two day drive (leaving Friday afternoon and arriving to our vacation home Saturday evening). Usually we shop at the grocery store just before arriving at the beach house. But this year I'd like to try pre-packaging my meats and non-perishable foods in order to save time and money at the local grocery store, buying fresh veggies there. I am thinking of marinating and freezing my meats and transporting them in a cooler with ice. I have a small 38qt igloo cooler, enough just for 5 or 6 days worth of meat for 5 people. Will this work?
