Best way to travel with cakes...

ILuvGrub | Nov 6, 201602:42 PM     2

So, I make all the desserts for the holidays. I have to travel 1 and 1/2 hours - not that far. However, last year, it was far enough to make the cakes crack while driving. It was a little annoying, but obviously didn’t affect the taste. Also, the vultures didn’t seem to mind a bit!

I’m thinking about making the cakes and wrapping them in plastic wrap. I’ll make the cream cheese frosting as well and assemble the cakes when I get there.

For Thanksgiving, I have to make the cakes on Tuesday. Is wrapping them in plastic wrap a good idea? Is it my best option? Does anyone have a better idea?

Thanks
