Traditional Jewish-style Christmas Day at Vietnaam, Manhattan...

gutreactions | Dec 26, 201806:42 AM

Keeping up the tradition, we gathered with family in Manhattan on Christmas Day for a Holiday movie and Asian dinner afterwards (We saw Mary Poppins at the Beekman and I sat alongside my beautiful granddaughter). We decided on a banquet of sorts at Vietnaam Restaurant up on 88th & 2nd. It has been our default Vietnamese favorite. Glad we had made reservations for our group of 7 since it was packed when we arrived around 7 p.m. We were seated right away and our Holiday feeding foray began: summer rolls, shrimp satay, platters of curry chicken, those delicious string beans, ginger shrimp, vermicelli noodles...I don't even remember all the dishes we had, but they were delicious! We ordered the right amount of food, too. And, our waitress was a pro, smiling throughout the 'tumult', with a few jokes to boot. Thanks, Vietnaam! www.vietnaam88.com
