Trader Joe's lentils still ok to eat?

conniemcd | May 29, 2008 03:23 PM

While scrounging around for a light meal I came upon a box of steamed lentils from Trader Joes, ready to eat warm or cold and some Trader Joe's spinach sauce. Aww, that will be our simple supper tonight.

Then I noticed the box said "perishable keep refrigerated" not to mention a July 2007 expiration date. I opened it and it tasted perfectly fine.

I'm inclined to use it, but I don't want to do anything foolish. Any comments are welcome.

You hounds are the greatest. It was my lucky day when I stumbled upon your website.

TIA

Connie
