Towns End Peachy Pancakes.

Stanley Stephan | Jun 29, 200306:46 PM

I actually picked Towns End this morning for breakfast since I thought there would be nothing new to post about. Give you Chowhounds a rest from me. Also, the gay parade starts up at the door of my garage, so I had to find a place I could walk to for breakfast. Sometimes the parking police refuse to let cars back on the street to get home.

Towns End has these amazing Swedish Oatmeal pancakes with peaches and almonds. I don't even like pancakes that much. The FRESH (!!!) diced peaches and slivered almonds were in the batter, not piled on top, as I expected. Every bite was full of peach and almonds. Their fruit butter this week was raspberry, which was a nicer topping than the maple syrup. Sort of a pancake melba. Highly recommended. Oatmeal, peaches, almonds ... healthy and delicious.

You can order them alone or as part of 'Mary's Special' which has eggs scrambled with cheese, onions, and mushrooms. Those were pretty darn good as well.

BTW, they are still offering the $12 three course dinner from Wednesday through Saturday. Best deal in the ballpark area, or the city for that matter.
