Out of Towner Rec's for visitors on a budget

Livin-In-Debt | Apr 9, 2005 02:48 PM

I like L.A.--what I've seen of it so far--and have been working here for the last couple weeks. But I'm on a big budget, and haven't been out much. My wife is coming for a visit this week, and I would like to take her to dinner, and possibly, help convince her that moving here might not be so bad. A good meal would help alleviate the trauma, I'm pretty sure.

I'm in Silverlake, but a drive would be ok, too. I'm looking for a romantic/quiet place with good food that won't break the bank (+/- $70 total for 2 people... is this even possible?). She loves french, italian, any kind of asian (except japanese). I don't know korean food, so maybe this isn't the time to get adventurous. Spanish/mexican might be ok too.

Anyway, I'll do a search, but just thought someone might have a brilliant suggestion offhand. Thanks.
