Buffalo is not part of the Tri-state New York City Metropolitan Area, not by a long shot, but I didn't know where else to put this.
Yesterday, I had an excellent moussaka at Towne, which is a few blocks from Kleinhans Hall, home of the Buffalo Philharmonic. The waitress was also very friendly, and the meal was inexpensive ($11 and change + tip for a big lunch of a Greek salad with lots of crumbled feta cheese, a nicely oven-toasted pita, the moussaka, and buttered pieces of baked potato with Greek herbs, with iced tea - which was refilled gratis a couple of times).
A bonus is that some of the employees know the bus and subway route(s) (there's only one subway line in Buffalo) well and can give you good directions.
