Old Towne Orange International Street Faire

elmomonster | Sep 7, 200404:18 PM

I checked out the Faire last Friday. Suffice to say I was a bit disappointed in what they called "International". Sure they had foods like bratwurst, gyros, sushi, but what I saw did not look any better than what I would find at my local mall food court. And the thought of raw fish being served in an outside stall in the heat of the weekend, seemed just plain scary to me. The Chinese food stall was serving up fried rice and chow mein, which looked worse than Panda Express, if that were possible. Am I turning into a food snob? Or does anyone else feel this way?

I was tempted to try the Dutch popovers. It looked like pancakes formed into balls. And Clayton Shurleys, a name I recall seeing here on this board before, looked promising too. But I ended up trying nothing at the Faire, instead opting for the left overs I had at home from Thai Nakorn the night before.
