K-town mystery

Kujira | Oct 14, 2002 12:52 AM

The other night in K-town a few hungry friends and I ordered a bunch of dishes and shared them all. One dish, however, was left unfinished.

It was a seafood dish. Bean sprouts, chilis or peppers, and various fish parts and shellfish in a spicy red sauce. One of the sea creatures we could not identify and no one in our party could manage to stomach more than one.

They were little grey sacs of slime with something hard inside. The outside was tough. The middle was liquid and some hard parts.

Can anyone identify this? We asked the waitstaff but they did not know the English word for it.
