My parents are going to be in town for a few days over the holidays. It will be their first time in New York and, being from Idaho, are definitely subject to NYC sticker shock. However, I have convinced them to go out to at least one "nice" meal with all the necessary elements (food, service, impressive ambience, etc.). I wanted USC but they are booked. I have been able to secure reservations at Town and Eleven Madison Park but have never been to either place. Which one should I pick (and if anyone wants my other reservation for 5 on the 28th, let me know)? Also, is the cheesecake at Junior's in Grand Central worth the hype (my mom wants to go) or are there better places.
