non-tourist trap high-end near south street seaport

greetings everyone,

I am looking for some nice restaurants (both formal and informal) while in town on business. Will be in lower manhattan around wall street and south street seaport. There is enough written about soho/tribeca, village etc....that I think I have that handled. I just really want to avoid tourist traps and bad food, which I hear is plentiful where I will be staying.

Love everything from a good sandwich, to seafood (esp. japanese and french), and hope to eat at least one excellent steak. Oh, and we love everything from thai, japanese, contemp. american, barbeque, french, persian, etc. Ok, we eat long as it good. *blush* what can I tell ya?

Want to stay up to date with this post?
