Is it totally ridiculous to buy a second stand mixer?

I had a Cuisinart 5.5 qt that I got about 10 years ago when I got married. I disliked it for a number of reasons, so I finally sold it on FB marketplace and purchased a KitchenAid Artisan 5qt. I like it, but I don't LOVE it. I've been making some big cakes lately (3 layers) and I feel like the 5qt is a touch too small. Also things fly out despite the pouring shield and despite using low speeds.

So, Costco has the 6 qt. Pro on sale for $250. It's really tempting to just grab one and then keep both of them. But is this ridiculous? Do any of you have 2 stand mixers?
