one "totally Montreal" lunch in old Montreal?

Hi -- My husband and I will be driving up to Montreal for one day from a house we're renting in Vermont. Where should we go for lunch? We live in NYC so don't need the most "fabulous" food, just the most *only in [old] Montreal* dining experience. We're thinking in Old Montreal. Chez L'Epicerie? Boris Bistro? Other specifications:
-- outdoor dining ideal
-- nothing schmancy; we will not be traveling with particularly nice clothes
-- no majorly advance reservations required; we probably won't decide which day we're going 'til the last minute.

Thanks in advance!

PS I remember Schwartz's from when we spent a summer there when I was a kid. We ate there ALL the time. Thank goodness it lives on! I'm guessing we'll stop there on the way home, perhaps for dinner ...
