Tortilla Press for Chinese Steamed Buns?

Whenever I make steamed buns, the most time-consuming aspect is rolling out the dough into circles which are often not uniform or even round for that matter...I was wondering if a tortilla press would be a good solution for this...Also for homemade dumpling wrappers, I was thinking the tortilla press would replicate the cleaver smash method...

Has anyone had experience using a tortilla press for these applications? I'd love to hear from you along with any tips re: oiling the press, changes in dough recipe, etc...
