Tortas USA-questions that need answering

I love this place. I go there all the time. So, upon returning from a short vacation in NYC (black & white cookies!!!)I stopped in for lunch yesterday. Let me start by saying that the torta I had was still pretty darn good. Same bread, meat still tasted the same. However, the torta, as a whole was different. Very little vegetables except a lot of cilantro. Hardly, if any, mayo. Less meat. And their salsa, which I really like, was very bland and watery.

But I'll forgive any place one time. That's really not my reason for the post. My reason is that everybody working there was somebody I've never seen before. Not only that, but the ordering system was different. No longer does a waitress take your order. I sat down and was told, very nicely (everybody is still very nice), that I had to order at the counter. I saw this happen to a few more people who were used to coming in and sitting down.

I wanted to ask what was up but there were too many people at the counter ordering. I plan on going back in a few days to get the full story. I really hope it was just an off-day with new people working or that the main workers are all on vacation or something like that.
