Sorry to be honest about this, but Toronto is a city of chain restaurants. In no other major world class city do you see so many chain restaurants and pubs. Why is that?
Really, I'm being truthfully honest. Bier Market, for a beer bar. Might as well call it an Interbrew Bar. Wine Bar (is Reds the best the city can do). I love your city, its clean and all, but in no other cities in the world do I see so mant chains. And can't believe how popular they are, example look at Milestones on John Street. Bad food and crazy prices, but its packed. Then there are some places that have character, and great food, but they are quiet. A friend of mine just said thats what Toronto is. If its advertised and commercial, then the people think its good. Montreal is way ahead of Toronto for food and restaurants. Again, if I hurt people's feelings, I'm sorry. But as a tourist, I scratch my head.
