The day started off with a drive to Benjamin, downtown Orlando, for some delectable French pastries and Croissants and a walk around the scenic Lake Eola area. Wow! What a serene, gorgeous and beautiful place. Made friends with a whole flock of Swans, Geese and Storks as well! Ha!
After saying farewell to one of the prettiest downtown in North America, we head over to Winter Park for lunch and another round of seafood.
Lunch at " Winter Park Fish Co.," consisted of:
-Scallop Ceviche ( 3 Ceviches in 3 days! Yes! My kids just love raw seafood marinated in tangy lime marinade )
- Shrimp and Creamy Grits,
- Fish Tacos ( At $2 per piece! Unreal! )
- Fish Po-Boys
Food was very reasonably priced and great value for the freshness of products offered. Portions were huge and well prepared. Amount of fish and seafood in the Cioppino was extremely generous. Overall, a very nice and enjoyable meal.
After another round of shopping, we headed out to the airport and returned our rental car. Only then did we find out our flight had been delayed for 5 bloody hours due to mechanical problem and inclement weather in Toronto! Instead of 11.00pm, we got in at around sunrise! Now, that's what I call a 'memorable' vacation!
