Toronto Help

JT | Jul 27, 2001 03:54 PM

Ok...I'm on my way from Boston to the French River for a family reunion for a week. I'll be driving via Buffalo. Now I have been given the task of picking up
Fresh vegatables for a crew of 12. I could do it around here (Boston) but I wasn't thrilled with the idea of packing them away in the car for a couple of days and I have no idea what I could find near camp (in the past it hasn't been that great) So I figured this might be a good place to ask for suggestions for a good vegetable stand once I get into Canada. I'll be traveling 401 through Toronto to 64 heading towards Sudbury (I think it's 64, I'll have it figured out before I hit the road, I haven't driven it for a couple of years) So any thoughts would be helpful. Would love to find a farm with a wide variety (and possibly some heirlooms)

On my way back I'll be stopping in Toronto for a couple of days, staying in Yorkville area of town. I've gotten more than enough terrific suggestions for food while in town from the many chowhounds who've been contributing to the board but I'm wondering if someone could help with a suggestion for a good smoke shop. I'm looking for a good Cuban. Didn't get to London this year, where I normally have a chance to stock up and if I remember correctly Toronto is a good place to find a good Cuban cigar. So any suggestions would again be most helpful.
