At the suggestion of Dianne in Bexley and others, I took my 19 year old freshman buckeye to The Top to satisfy his (and my) steak craving. It was perfect. I had the bone-in ribeye which was perfectly cooked with a slight char on the outside and medium rare as ordered. My son wisely ordered one of the specials - a large bone-in strip steak also perfectly cooked. He pronounced this the best steak he ever had and my sampling confirmed it. If this is offered when you go, don't pass it up. Not that the ribeye wasn't wonderful - it was.The atmosphere was perfect also, since he had never been in an old fashioned "joint" like this. The piano bar added a nice touch and by the time we left, all seats around it were taken. The live music added to the vibe and the whole experience is terrific. The prices are comparable to top tier restaurants, but the meal includes 2 "standard" sides. We had salads which were ok and I had a nice baked potatoe and my son had very good hash browns. All in all I highly recommend The Top if you want a great steak in Columbus.
