Top Chef Technique/Ingredient of the Season?

Top Chef seasons .... Ok, two years ago, everything was a carpaccio.

Last year, the big thing was sous-vide.

This season I don't see one big technique, but the ingredient I see used repeatedly -- therefore making it "in" -- is edamame.

Agree or disagree? And ... have you had any yet?
