Top 10 Eatery Experiences in the Last Few Years

givemetomatos | Aug 31, 201106:14 PM

Ok, I've been super negligent in posting. Soooo...here's my top 10 since my last post.

1) Cross Culture---Doylestown

I usually go here once a year, on New Years, with givemecarbs. We usually share a bottle of fine wine (Cross Culture is a BYOB) and we always have a ball. The rest of the year I spend dreaming of the pleasantly rich Lamb Korma and Naan and comparing every other restaurant I walk into to. Its unfair, I know. Its one night with good food, good drink, and good friends, where cost is just a number and I'm left in a dizzy haze of happiness. I'm sure they must have down days, but not wile I've been. The cost is high, but it seams comparable to other local Indian restaurants. I have never left hungry, which I cannot say of many similarly priced restaurants.

2) Saffron----Ambler

This is where I spent part of hurricane Irene. The wait staff was patient with me, that means a lot considering I was in rare form. I called five or six times, my reservation changed from six people to two, the time changed over an hour last minute, and I had to disappear for a moment while they were serving me. The rice was the best I've remembered. I got Lamb Korma again. I have this thing for Lamb and Indian food. Givemecarbs got Lamb Kebab. She got the better dish, I got the better rice. Win for me.

3) Alice Bakery----North Wales

I'm a sucker for a good croissant.I'm a sucker for exquisite tea. I'm also a sucker for godly chocolate. Here I can, and did, get all three. By the end givemecarbs had to drag me from this bakery. The tea infused chocolates may seem pricey, but oh-my-god they are worth it.

4) Let Them Eat Cake---Doylestown

I'm not one for Cupcakes...usually. This bakery is making me take another look at all a cupcake can be. I tried the Red Velvet and I swear my knees gave a little. I can't wait to go back and try more of the dessert I once swore off.

5) Letterman's---Kutztown
This is the only real place worth checking out in Kutztown. If you like breakfast you will love this place. Warning: the portions are enough to feed a hungry college student for a day, aproach with extreme caution. Having said that, best...breakfast...ever.

6) A & N Dinner---Sellersville
Not much to say here, except where else can you get breakfast 24 hours in the Sellersville area. Add a great Greek wrap. Finally, top off with godly apple dumplings just as good as my grandmother use to make. Yum.

Well that wasn't quite 10, but now I'm hungry. I promise to be more prompt in the future.
