A friend and I (he's from the DC suburbs and I'm from just south of Baltimore) came up to Philly today to celebrate his birthday by playing a couple rounds of disc golf at the course in Fairmount Park. It's one of the oldest disc golf courses in the world, and quite a nice course, by the way.
Anyway, I had scouted here on the Pennsylvania Chowhound board for good places that a couple of semi-grubby disc golfers could go for a taste of something quintessentially "Philly" after we got done. Tony Luke's kept showing up in various threads, and it sounded like the right sort of thing to cap off our day.
We scored big with this one! Geoff had a steak with American and an order of fries, while I tried the Beef Italian (with provolone and spinach) and the Pork Italian (with provolone and rabe). Exquisite!
Our thanks to the Philly Chowhounds!!!!
