I hereby owe KathyR a debt of gratitude for pointing out Takohachi for Tonkatsu... while it certainly was not the best Tonkatsu I've ever had, it is far and away the best Tonkatsu I've had in Seattle, and probably the only Tonkatsu in Seattle worthy of being called "Tonkatsu" (as opposed to just "fried pork").
Highly recommended for those looking for a Katsu fix. The pork quality could be better, and the sauce was not the best, but the breading was quite good and overall it was significantly better than any other Tonkatsu to be found in Seattle. It's also quite cheap, only $7.95 for a complete meal with miso soup, cabbage, and curried rice.
There has been much rejoicing.
