Help me tone down too much Italian seasoning in beef wild rice soup

Looking for ideas on what to add / how to use leftover beef & wild rice soup I made. The recipe called for 1 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning for half a pound of ground beef, half a cup of cooked wild rice, a large chopped onion, chopped celery (I used celery flakes), beef bouillon (I substituted vegetable) , and canned cream of mushroom soup with water (I substituted 6 fresh mushrooms, plus water). I was aiming for a non-creamy soup so did not make a white-sauce equivalent to the cream of mushroom soup.

The Italian seasoning overwhelmed the dish.

How do I "rescue" this, without adding more ground beef or cooked wild rice or mushrooms? Do I just toss it and cut my losses? Welcome your fresh ideas, or comments on any of mine. Do any of these sound like they'd help?
- add white-sauce
- add white kidney beans
- add white rice or small pasta rings
- make cornbread batter to bake spread over top of it, as casserole
