Il Fornello in Toronto/GTA has a tomato red pepper jam that they serve with some of their antipasti and I'd love to find the recipe.
To look at the jam, all you see are chopped tomatoes and red peppers, there are no herbs present however, there is an anise flavour.
The jam is quite sweet, so sweet in fact that I'm not convinced there's any vinegar in the mix at all. I'm wondering if the anise flavour may be coming from a liqueur although I'm not tasting any alcohol at all.
Does anyone have a recipe that sounds similar?
