Tokyo Yummy Curry, Berkeley

Thanks to Limster for first reporting on this place!

I dropped in for dinner last week and was very happy with the result. The chicken cutlet curry is very good - great flavor from the curry and the fried chicken was moist and stayed crispy even with the sauce poured over it. The beef donburi was fine, but not what we expected. It had a few strips of beef stir-fried with cabbage, broccoli, carrots, and zucchini. More vegetables than beef and not really the type of donburi I'm used to seeing. We also tried 3 of the maki, all California-ized "fun" rolls: California roll ($2.50), chicken teriyaki roll ($2.95), and tempura roll ($2.95). Other than the rice being a bit warm in the teriyaki roll, the sushi was pretty good as well (if you like the type).

It's more of a casual place geared toward Cal students with anime posters and sleek booths and tables. I'm really glad Limster discovered it and now I have a new place to grab a cheap dinner after getting off Bart.
