Anyone else eaten at this place on the 1700 block of Chestnut? From the outside it looks like any number of takeout Japanese places, but I think their food is much fresher and tastier than most other places'. In particular, their Udon soups are delicious. They serve a large bowl of steaming hot broth that's salty, sweet, and spicy all at once. The chicken must be marinated for days -- it's got a wonderful, ginger flavor and is the most moist chicken I've ever had in restaurant soup. And just before serving the soup they throw the uncooked noodles and greens in so that nothing has time to get too mushy.
During the week they also carry premade containers of all kinds of shu-mai and other dumplings. Wonder if anyone's tried these? The soup is so filling that I've never ordered anything additional
