The wife and I decided to drive over to McKinney and try out the new sushi place. We had been to the sushi buffet that was there previously. This is not a buffet style place, it has a full service sushi bar and hibachi. The decor is very nice and the staff is friendly and provides impeccable service. They are very attentive and knowledgeable.
For the meal, we had a calamari appetizer that was great. The calamari was very fresh, lightly breaded, and very good. They also give you a small appetizer of squid salad that was phenomenal.
We ordered 3 rolls and assorted sashimi and sushi. We had the jalapeno roll, mi mi haki roll, and the spicy tuna. All were very tasty and well made. The sashimi and sushi was very fresh and expertly prepared. We had yellowtail, albacore, fatty tuna, eel, tamago, octopus, and salmon.
Although we didn't try them they also have udon, yaki, and a ton of options on the hibachi. I plan to make a trip back soon to grab some yakisoba for lunch.
If you are looking for a great place to enjoy some very fresh and well prepared sushi on the north end of the metroplex, you should stop by this place. It is very new, so you may not find it in the phone listings or on your GPS so here is the address:
