Todai in White Plains re-visited

After reading everyone's reviews of Todai I had decided I would not be eating there however my DH had other ideas. He convinced me to go for lunch today and I must say I was very pleasantly surprised so maybe they have now gotten their act together.

This place was not Nobu or even Kira in Armonk but for a buffet style I was surpised how fresh the fish was and how attractively it was presented. Not every piece of sushi was fabulous but it was all fresh and tasty. I had tuna, white tuna, spicy tuna, salmon and shrimp which were all quite palatable.

The cooked foods were good as well. Even the tempura was good and still crunchy. The desert section was my least favorite but it was still well done. My DhHhad a crepe which he said was good but the crepe itself was a bit thick.

Either way - we both said we would return and as a bonus kids under a certain height are free and then on up to 50% off. Hopefully the quality stays high so don't be scared off by the reviewsd below - maybe it ws opening month jitters?
