TN: 2007 Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona Sant' Antimo Fabius

Drank this with friends at Mark's Duck House in Falls Church, VA. Needed time to open in the glass but once it did it was a wonderful wine. It would have been nice if we could have decanted it for an hour before drinking, but that wasn't in the cards.

Intense dark ruby color, almost inky. Flavors of blueberries, plums, and cherries. Spicy notes on the nose and the palate. Nicely rounded tannins. A very powerful wine yet still with elegance. Medium to long finish. Should age well for the next 5 years.
