TITA'S hale 'aina Restaurant in the Castro?

Heather | May 31, 200506:58 PM     14

Hi all,

I've seen some discussion of Hawaiian food places on this board, but I just moved to a new neighborhood and saw a new one. (Well, it's new to me anyway.)

Has anyone been to TITA'S hale 'aina Restaurant on 17th Street in the Castro?

It looked interesting and I want to try it out for brunch one day, but I don't know Hawaiian food from Thai food. I've never had it. I'm just curious.

Also, I'm wondering what everyone's favorite restaurants are in the Castro. Talking to friends recently, we've kind of come to the conclusion that a lot of the restaurants there aren't that good (but they make up for it by being overpriced). My favorites: Catch, Lime and Bombay Indian.

Thoughts?

Thanks!
