Tipping and confronting

Kidco | Apr 30, 201710:15 AM     68

Regular non tipping husband and wife. Non tippers. Bill comes to approximately $50. Finally, decided to say something. First, let me say all servers who wait on them are very good and very attentive. It is clear that they just don't believe in tipping. I say to them one night after yet again no tip: "I understand that there are people who don't believe in tipping and I know that this belief applies to you. You need to understand why I have waited on you the last few times that you have been in. It is because other servers do not want to wait on you. In the service industry whether it is a server, someone who valets your car, a barber... etc.. tipping is the norm, it is typical and it is customary. The servers here go above and beyond to provide excellent service. For you to continue to expect excellent service without tipping is not acceptable." Needless to say these customers were ticked off! Said they won't come back again. Lastly, Keep in mind that our relationship as business/customer was in epic failure mode. Some customers are not appreciated by the business or the business's employees. #notip #badcustomers #servers
