This small sit-down and take-out restaurant is located at 952 St Clair Ave West at Oakwood (ph # 416-656-1974).

It was my first visit here and the friendly El Salvadorian chef/owner explained the Pupusas to me.
They are palm-sized corn tortillas filled with something and then pan-fried.

I ordered two of the pork and cheese. At less than $2 each, they were a good value. The pupusas were delicious. The outside was cooked just right and the pork filling with cheese and onion was delicate and perfectly cooked.

The pupusas were served with Curtido (pickled cabbage, basically coleslaw) and a tomato-pepper? sauce.

Absolutely great place. Can't wait to go back and try other foods like Tamales, Empanadas, and Quesadillas.

Please note they were a little slow to cook my order but that just shows you everything done is to order and is as fresh as possible. And the taste shows.

Chow.
