Tip o' the hat to: A & H Seafood in Bethesda

Dear Hounds -

Upon Marty L's suggestion I took myself over to A & H Seafood on Bethesda Ave, right next to the Bethesda Crab Shack, in search of a paella pan. I wasn't disappointed. What a great place. First off, they have paella pans galore in all sizes and prices; I bought a 6 serving/34 cm steel pan for 20 bones. Can't be beat, it seems to me.

One of the owners waited on me and he was a charming Spaniard. We chatted in Spanish for a bit and he was very helpful with helping me chose the proper paellera and arroz. Speaking of the rice, the place carries fresh seafood and chorizos of all kinds. It also has a wide selection of canned and boxed goods - pulpo, bacalao, flan, etc - by various makers (Goya, e.g.).

It's a neat little place and I thank Marty for the tip.
