Tip for Baltimore risotto fans

Warthog | Mar 16, 2006 01:27 PM

While one would not expect to find risotto at the corner of North and Howard, risotto fans might want to check out Joe Squared. In addition to creative pizza and sandwich offerings, they also have not one, but *several* rather creative risotto choices (risotti?) on the menu. I'm not an expert, so I can't say how "authentic" the combinations or preparation might be, but my limited sampling has struck me as pretty good , standing up favorably to my prior risotto experiences.

I will grant that neither the location nor the interior of the restaurant look like the sort of place one would expect to find risotto, but given that Chowhounds are dedicated to finding rewarding chow wherever it may be found, I thought I'd pass along the tip.

For those who are fond of rum, the bar seems to have a specialization in that area, too, as well as some interesting beer choices.
