It was the best of times, it was the wurst of times...

Dinner at Wurstkuche (downtown) last Saturday was like going back to my childhood haunts in downtown Chicago, but with a touch of NY, LA and 2008 thrown in for good measure. Hole-in-the-wall comfort meets industrial chic.

I'd go back for the: duck&bacon, Kielbasa with onions and peppers, and to try any one of their two dozen beers again.


-The sausages on display in the deli case. Naked, and oh so full of potential.
-The server Melissa with the sweet mug.
-The back room; it's perfect for a party.
-The red chairs and matching red sandwich baskets.
-The beer list with descriptions and alcohol percentages.


-It's not within walking distance of my apt.
