wow...how is it possible that i could have taken so long to find this site!?!...few things excite me quite as much as uncovering some hidden neighborhood gem and sharing it with others who will also appreciate it...so, you can imagine my delight at finding this place!...

my only regret is that just about everything that i would have loved to share with you all has already been mentioned on this very extraordinary site...from the surprisingly competantly executed wings at mcann's on ditmars in astoria to the unique "chinese sandwiches" at yang tze on 43rd road in flushing...my god, i think i even saw my favorite cabbie haunt mentioned - the excellent, all-night halal cart on 53rd and 6th (how often do you see a line for a vending cart extend halfway down the block at 2:30am on a weekday...in the middle of winter?...well, the first time you experience the zing that their white sauce adds to the already flavorful marinated grilled chicken, you'd understand why)...

oh, i do have one other possible regret...did i get here too late to find the arepa lady?...is she still alive???...i certainly hope so...if not, at least i have bureks to try...

thanks everybody, for making this site great...and, i hope to make some contributions, myself...if i can find a spot that you hounds haven't thoroughly sniffed out already...
