ate at sushi yasuda last night for the first time. all i can say is wow. it was my first time eating very good sushi and it was great. sat at the sushi bar to the left of the bar in front of the second to last (or second) sushi chef. he was excellent and very talkative with great advice. if it wasn't for him i wouldn't have tried half of what i had. had a bunch of pieces: artic char, white king salmon, king salmon, hakkaku (my favorite), shimiji (?), three different types of yellowtail, octopus, uni (my first time, after being convinced to have it from the sushi chef - it was interesting...), anago, a squash roll, a rock shrimp piece, spanish mackeral, marinated eel, and a toro roll. each piece was better than the next. i have to say the artic char and the hakkaku were my favorites. for 2 people with red miso clam soup, tea, beer and tax, it was $120. worth every penny.
does anyone know the name of the sushi chef i've talking about?
