Hello!
A Boston hound here, and London-bound for the first time ever in less than two weeks. We will be staying in Kensington for five nights and I've done a lot of research but would love additional ideas! Here's what I'm thinking (only mentioning tourist plans for location purposes). One big hole remains: dinner on Monday, 9.29. It will be our 10 1/2 anniversary, so I'd like to surprise my boyfriend with reservations somewhere special that won't break the bank (thinking $110/person including wine). I should add, my traveling companion doesn't like Indian food, so I'll be getting my fix at Borough Market where we can each get what we'd like:
9.26--taking an overnight flight from Boston, touring Kensington Palace, lunch at Kensington Square Kitchen, Natural History Museum, dinner at Maggie Jones
9.27--Windsor Castle, lunch at Horse & Groom, touring Eton, pint at Crown & Cushion, dinner at Apero
9.28--Breakfast at Kopapa, Tate Museum, walk over Millennium Bridge, lunch at Borough Market, Tower of London, cruise back down to Westminster, dinner _______?
9.29--British Museum, lunch at the Cafe there (?), walk through Carnaby St/Bond St/Oxford St, special dinner _____?
9.30--Buckingham Palace, late breakfast at the Wolseley, Churchill war rooms, Trafalgar Square, dinner at Barrica
Thank you in advance for any comments, so excited to see London for the first time! :-)
