My All-Time Favorite Appetizer...

dstultz | Jun 2, 2003 05:16 PM the Wild Mushroom and Goat Cheese Bruschetta at Mendocino Grille and Wine Bar. I'm an adventerous eater. I should be sampling the menu, right? Eat my way around it, try new things. But when it comes to this one, I am stuck. My eyes look over the rest of the appetizer options, but my stomach makes me stop at this one. I could definitely order three and make a meal out of it. It is THAT good.

Two slices of great bread, toasted. Topped with olive oil and spread with goat cheese and herbs. Then Topped with a very generous portion of sauteed wild mushrooms and finished with some balsamic vinegar(?). All of that on top of a mound of perfectly sauteed spinach.

Ay yi is perfection, I tell you.

OK hounds, fess up. Is there something on somebody's menu that you is so good you just keep ordering it over and over and over and over again...other yummy sounding things on the menu be damned?
