First time Chiu Chow dining in HK

I'd been wanting to try an upscale-ish Chiu Chow place, because it's a cuisine i'd never really eaten before...and a couple nights ago i was on the double-decker tram and noticed i was passing the address i'd written down for the Pak Loh Chiu Chow (Causeway Bay) so i hopped off the tram for a "target of opportunity"...

As it turns out, the Pak Loh (mentioned guidebooks) has moved, but has been replaced by another upscale Chiu Chow place: Lee Yat...

i had: sliced goose marinated in vinegar...my god, what a great dish!...where has this dish been all my life?...was happy the goose was not rare (after a bad under-cooked poultry experience in Japan a few years ago) and that it was lean...gamey and sour made a nice combo...

Also had the chicken dumplings w/ egg-white wrappers...liked the delicate egg-white idea, but at least at Lee Yat, the chicken inside had a lot of skin and was a bit bland (but maybe they are usually that way?)...and had some tiny deep-fried oysters w/ garlic chips...

Since twas my first Chiu Chow meal, i can't compare Lee Yat to others, but the view is nice and the goose made my night...so for the uninitiated, i highly recommend giving Chiu Chow a try...
