Went Sunday night around 6:00pm. We were immediately greeted by an older gentleman who sat us by the bar. The place was about 30% full. Our server was very attentive, but not obnoxiously so. We ordered margaritas and, after describing some of their tequilas, she suggested that we try ones with Tonala Anejo. Very good, loved that they were served in martini glasses. Our server went over the menu with us, explaining the different moles and such. We had the appetizer platter "Entremes Surtido" for two which was good. For our entrees, my husband had the lamb and I had the ostrich. Both were cooked perfectly (medium rare, which she had suggested). My ostrich was like butter! The mole sauce paired with it was wonderful and complimented it perfectly. Presentation was nice, served with slices of zucchini... Ordered two desserts, tartaleta poblana and flan de membrillo, both were tasty. My husband ordered the cafe maya which I would highly recommend. It was quite a presentation! She rolled out a tray table with the coffee, sugar, alcohol (forgive me, I don't remember what it was), etc.. It took her over five minutes to prepare his coffee but it was enjoyable to watch. First she heated up the glass with a small torch, then dipped the glass in the sugar and heated again. Added the alcohol and heated which gave off a cool effect, added the coffee and other things. Fun way to end the dinner!
Service was perfect. Food was delicious.
Anyway, as we were deciding on where to eat on Sunday, I suggested Chilpancingo specifically having read its praises many times on this board.. I wanted to offer my praises as well! Thanks!
