Yesterday I used my new Crock Pot (gift) for the first time.
After I got the ingredients in the crock and had it going for a while, I noticed that the lid didn't seem to fit exactly right: I could see a small space between the lid and the crock on one side.
Wondering if this was normal or if I should have a totally sealed lid, I called the company customer service number.
The first lady I spoke to was hard to understand although I am familiar with her native language. She spent a long time asking me questions such as name, address, and so on, and then asked me to hold which I did and then we got disconnected.
I called back and there was a similar situation and ultimately I was told they would send me a new pot.
I had expected someone to say "That's not anything to worry about" or "That sounds like a defect."
So, I still don't know. Would appreciate a comment from someone who is familiar with crock pots. I had one decades ago and it leaked so i pitched it; that's my only experience so I have no idea if I should have been concerned or not.
