I'm beginning to think it pays to be very busy and not have a chance to check the board for a while. I've been away a week or so and oh the delights of checking back in. So many wonderful threads, so little time.
Especially since I leave on a long-deserved, greatly overdue vacation tomorrow. Three weeks running around in Tibet. I have been to Nepal before and am reasonably familiar with Nepali food--and like it. But my experiences with Tibetan are markedly fewer. I had Tibetan food in Nepal a few times and have been to the cafe near the Sheridan el. But I am writing to ask whether anyone knows of any culinary delights that I should look (or ask) for when there. Admittedly this is not a cuisine known for its flair (or flavor, for that matter). Still, there may be an aficionado out there who can point me to something unexpected or exotic that I won't be able to get elsewhere.
