Ti Georges' Chicken contendor for best wood cooked rotisserie bird

Hershey Bomar | Oct 20, 2003 06:10 PM

I don't write reviews. I just like to report back on certain places. Especially if I don't think a restaurant has been discussed enough on this board.

Ti Georges is a Haitian chicken place and it’s very, very good. The chicken is cooked over an avocado wood fire and smothered in spices. It comes with dirty rice and red beans, excellent spicy coleslaw and a small green salad. 1/2 a chicken dinner is like 8 bucks and 1/4 chicken dinner is like 6.

George is a charming fun guy. The place is kinda basic/bare but the music is festive and the food excellent. He mentioned that he’s going to visit Hong Kong soon so go for a visit before he leaves town.

George serves Haitian desserts and sodas and he also serves conch and goat on Saturdays. He’s closed on Sundays, and closed every night at 8 sharp.
