Go figure. I have posted about this place before, after I had breakfast there. Tonight we had dinner and I am telling you to go check this place out before it closes down due to competition from all the nearby chain places.
I dare you to resist being charmed by the exceptionally nice owners. They love food and it shows. The young man waiting on us talked at length about how it is prepared, even talking excitedly about how good the beans are - not greasy and just right.
I had cheese enchiladas rancheras, which come with a pretty spicy sauce, a ton of rice and beans, and a good portion of homemade guacamole.
Mr. S got the chiles rellenos, which were big green thick pasillas, very tasty.
They also have American-style food and nightly specials.
The place looks like an old-style family breakfast house...wood paneling, cheap art, kind of bad lighting. But I was charmed. It gets the Snackish star of approval.
