Thoughts on freezing pastitsio??

Or any sort of pasta dish combined with a sort of bechamel sauce? Would it end up watery? Or tough as the proverbial old boot?? I have successfully frozen a vegetarian lasagna (or at least my DH and I thought it tasted o.k.!) but it's a different sort of pasta. Time constraints force me to either make ahead and freeze or look for an alternate recipe that isn't as time consuming!!
