I thought I invented a recipe of a new frosting. I'm not a fan of butter cream or cream cheese frosting. I find them too heavy. I am also not a fan of meringue/marshmallow frosting because they are too light. I decided to a mix meringue/marshallow frosting and butter cream to get a result that lays somewhere in the middle. I thought I was such a genius. I really thought for a second that I made the perfect frosting and that I'm the only person who came up with the mixture of the two. A quick internet search reveals that what I made was Swiss Buttercream and it has been around since the beginning of time. Oh well. The results were fantastic and I learned a new recipe.
