I hit thelmas yesterday right at opening and had the best briskett I have had in a long time. Thank god I got their early because the line was already 20 deep at 11:20. Along with the succulent 1/2 thck cut beef with nice smoke ring I got some avg ribs. The ribs were cooked way to long and were mostly tough. The two meat plate runs $8 and the plate weighs in at atleast 3 pounds. I also got quite possible the best potato salad I have ever had along with thelmas incredible stewed okra. I couple months ago I sang the praises of Williams Smokehouse and williams still wins in ribs but Thelmas briskett and sides trumps williams overall. The only problem with thelmas is the long wait in cramped dining room.
